PATHWAY TO # 1 – BIG SUCCESS

The pathway into rapid # 1, created and maintained by Shearwater, has been a huge success and there are now more people rafting in Zimbabwe than for the last few years as a result. For those of you who don’t know, the new pathway descends into the gorge right next to the Victoria Falls Bridge. The top section of the path is constructed of steel fabricated stairways and thereafter there are concrete steps all the way to the bottom of the gorge. Once at the bottom clients walk upstream for about 400m until they are above rapid # 1 just downstream of the boiling pot. Our rafts launch from above rapid # 1 and this gives your clients the opportunity to be rowed by our oarsmen up into the boiling pot where they will have fantastic views of the Falls.
This is truly spectacular and one of the highlights of the trip. I think there can be no question now that the Zimbabwe rafting trip is the best options and is surely the best rafting trip in the world.
Please remember that we can only get into the boiling pot during low water. Check with Reservations to be sure.
